Terms of Service
By using BookWorld.ai, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
- Accounts: You are responsible for your account activity and for keeping your login credentials secure.
- Content: You retain ownership of your content. You grant BookWorld.ai the rights needed to host, process, and display your content for providing the service (including store listings and exports).
- Marketplace: BookWorld.ai provides tools to publish and sell content. You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with applicable laws and third-party platform rules (for example, Amazon KDP requirements).
- Features may change or be removed as we improve the platform.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the platform, other users, or third parties.
AI fair use
BookWorld.ai includes AI features to help you write and publish faster. To keep the service reliable and prevent abuse, we apply internal fair use limits (for example: rate limits, usage caps, and plan-based history retention).
- No guarantees: AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or inappropriate. You must review and edit before publishing.
- Acceptable use: No automated scraping, credential stuffing, bulk generation to spam the store, or attempts to bypass limits.
- Safety: We may filter, throttle, or block certain requests to protect users and the platform.
Payments & payouts
BookWorld.ai uses Stripe to process payments. Authors can connect a Stripe account to receive payouts.
- Transparent revenue share: For paid ebook sales, authors receive 90% and BookWorld.ai charges a 10% platform fee (before applicable payment processing fees).
- Immediate split (best effort): Our default approach is platform charge + transfer (Stripe Connect). Transfers are processed on a best-effort basis and may be delayed due to Stripe review, compliance, account limitations, disputes, refunds, or bank processing times.
- Stripe setup: Authors must connect Stripe to receive payouts for paid sales and to pass Stripe’s onboarding and verification checks.
- Paid sales without Stripe (donation): If an author publishes a paid ebook without a connected payout account, proceeds from those sales are retained by the platform and may be treated as a donation to support the service. No payout is owed for those transactions unless you define a different policy.
- Chargebacks / disputes / refunds: If Stripe reverses a charge, funds may be reversed and transfers may be adjusted or withheld to cover losses and fees.
Refunds
Refunds (if offered) are handled case-by-case and may depend on download/access status, fraud signals, and applicable law.
Acceptable use
- No illegal content, harassment, or IP infringement.
- No attempts to abuse AI features (automated scraping, credential stuffing, etc.).
- We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
Copyright & IP
You represent and warrant that you have the rights needed to upload, publish, and sell your content.
- Takedowns: If we receive a credible infringement report, we may remove or restrict access to content and suspend repeat offenders.
- Reporting: To report IP infringement, contact support with identifying information, links/IDs, and proof of rights.
Disclaimers
- As-is: The service is provided “as is” and “as available”.
- No warranties: We disclaim warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- AI output: AI-generated content may be wrong. You are responsible for final content, compliance, and publication decisions.
- Third parties: We’re not responsible for third-party services (e.g., Stripe, cloud providers) or third-party platforms you use for distribution.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BookWorld.ai and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service.
In any event, our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amounts paid by you to BookWorld.ai in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or $100 if you paid nothing), unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Indemnity: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BookWorld.ai from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms.
Privacy
We collect basic account and usage information to operate the service. Payment details are processed by Stripe.
